Honda's launch of the all new 40/50hp
 

The latest addition to the Honda Marine range is the all new and improved BF40-50; The most technologically advanced, light weight, quiet 40 and 50hp 4-stroke engines the world has ever seen.

With the new fuel injected efficiency and Blast technology (seen only in the recent relaunch of the Honda BF75-90) the new 40/50’s are the newest technology in delivering powerful acceleration and maximising speed and performance. The Blast technology stands for Boosted Low Speed Torque and refers to its advanced ignition. This Advanced ignition timing develops more horsepower at low revs to get the hull up on the plane quicker meaning super-strong acceleration. All of a sudden there are zero advantages to purchasing a 2-Stroke engine.

Additionally, the new PGM-FI electronic fuel injection system and lean-burn control of these models has contributed to a further 22% improvement over the already exceptional fuel efficiency of the previous model. Despite the incorporation of this advanced technology Honda has also managed to preserve this models 98kg lightweight, compact packaging and class-leading performance while adding a new, impressive and sophisticated design imitating the striking 'wing form' blueprint of the larger engines in the range.
